M.A.R.V.E.L. System - Model based Automated Regulation of Ventilation Exhaust Levels

The Halton M.A.R.V.E.L. system can be delivered as a stand alone controller or it can be designed to communicate with an upper building management system. In addition, Halton’s M.A.R.V.E.L system will automatically balance single or multiple hoods operating on one common duct based on their individual set points.

ECO System

The ECO system is designed to be installed as on option on ventilation systems equipped with Ecoloair filtrations system. It monitors the pressure in a hood and accordingly adjusts the exhaust fan speed to maintain constant air flow in the system regardless of filters condition. Significant energy savings are achieved by maintaining the air flow at design level without the need of over exhausting conditioned air from the kitchen when filters are clean.

KBD, ABD & MBD Exhaust Hood Balancing Damper

The most common problems faced in the commercial kitchen is the balancing of the exhaust system. The KBD model, Equalizer™ balancing damper, MBD, model Manual Balancing Damper and ABD, Automated Balancing Damper from Halton provides the solution. 

Code requirements will not allow balancing dampers to be placed in grease exhaust ducts due to the amount of grease deposition, which creates a fire hazard. The KBD has smooth, curved surfaces which are parallel to air flow limiting the deposition rate of the grease being carried in the exhaust air stream. KBD is UL tested and certified for balancing at the exhaust collar of the hood system.


 PRA Adjustment Damper

The PRA is a factory calibrated non-turbulent air flow damper with pressure differential ports and damper setting dial.  The PRA makes quick and accurate measurement for a variety of air balancing needs.  The airflow rate is adjusted by turning the adjustment knob changing the aperture size of the adjustment cone inside the damper formed by iris blades.  The damper PRA unit can also be used as a supply air nozzle in industrial applications.
