Indoor climate applications

Halton's indoor climate applications use Demand Based Indoors, a concept for balancing indoor climate quality with system efficiency over a building's whole life. A space's carefully defined requirements are matched with its optimal system – providing flexibility with demand-based control.

Matching systems to spaces
User requirements along with space type and usage form the foundation of Halton's recommended space applications. The requirements specified for the space are matched with an optimal system to provide:

  • Proven conditions and satisfied users
  • Increased productivity
  • Profitable real-estate investment - an economical life cycle
  • Flexible and adaptable systems

Variable air-flow rate control is required to ensure energy-efficient operation of the systems when internal heat and contaminant loads vary considerably. Typical spaces of this sort are lobbies, auditoriums and conference rooms. By contrast, office spaces have high cooling loads and only a moderate outdoor airflow rate demand. For offices, chilled beams offer a comfortable indoor environment with competitive life cycle costs.

Here we present some of our applications for selected spaces.  - For more information and design guidance, please contact your nearest Halton office.
